Projects

Between 2009 and 2015, Nekorpa worked across Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka to preserve sacred landscapes and support the living traditions connected to them. Projects included pilgrimage guide publishing, oral history preservation, sacred-site restoration, environmental conservation, sanitation initiatives, biodiversity protection, monastic support, and research on the relationship between spiritual culture and ecological stewardship. Together, these efforts demonstrated how pilgrimage can serve as a bridge between cultural preservation, environmental care, and contemplative practice.

Today, Nekorpa is entering a new chapter. Building upon its earlier work and longstanding relationships, the organization is renewing its commitment to sacred landscape preservation, cultural stewardship, and community-based initiatives.

Snapshots from projects

“With the right attitude, any journey to a sacred place becomes a pilgrimage.”
